Children’s Yoga

Yoga for Children helps build strength, flexibility, focus and balance, while stimulating their imagination and releasing energy.  This Kids program also promotes inner-strength, confidence and self-esteem. It’s very playful and often doesn’t even look like yoga but results are beautiful.

Through yoga, children learn the importance of being well, having love for themselves, having love for others, and the world around them.  In class, children will learn a fun way to do asana and practice breathing and visualization.  They will also play yoga games, do crafts and read stories in a safe nurturing environment.

kids-yoga_0001_layer-5This compilation of activities is used to build body awareness, sharpen gross motor skills, improve concentration, self control, and coordination which can be applied in their daily lives.  If we can teach children right from the start that they possess so much wisdom and divine strength, they will have a lifetime of health and happiness.

This is great for children ages 3 and above.  Children’s yoga classes have often led to Family Yoga classes where parents and siblings can interact in this supportive environment.
